niall rogers' project "officer john" has been described as "mysterious", but as a former D1 resident i can attest that sometimes dubliners just get a kick out of moving like they don't have a plan. fuzzy growling tracks with unmoored nostalgia: a little shoegaze, a little grunge, a little downtempo lounge circa 2003. every single is somehow even better than the last one. niall loves releasing one track at a time unannounced, which, sure, fair play to him, but boyo! i need an album asap.
